Ali’s Bloggings

The internet has has extreme ramifications for our society over the past 15 years. I remember when we first got a computer. I was in 2nd grade and it looked like a type writer. In 4th grade, we got a Mac and signed up for CompuServe. Soon after, we signed up for AOL. At the time, I used it to get news, play games and, in middle school, for AIM. At the time, it was purely for pleasure and recreation. But now, some years later, it has become a full-on necessity. If not for the internet, I wouldn’t be able to do my school work, keep up with my friends, read the news on a regular basis, discover new music, or write this blog for everyone to read right now. And with the advent of sites like myspace, facebook and others, people can create personal websites for their friends and family to see and share pictures and video instantly. Also, we are now beginning to use Wifi and Bluetooth to sync different gadgets together with our cars, tvs, computers and even houses. I think that right now we are only scratching the surface and in the coming years we will truly realize the potential of such an endless universe.

Hey, here’s something I bet you didn’t know:

I cracked up when you mentioned CompuServe because it reminded me of the Internet in the 90s. Cool video, I wasnt sure whether or not I was supposed to be scared and delighted by it.
